I'm interested in becoming a
member of 2200 (Oldham) Squadron, what do I do next?
As A
Cadet
Interested?
Then why not try an evening at the Squadron to see if you
may enjoy it?
Cadet
membership is open to young people, both male and female, between 13
and 20 years old who accept the challenge.
We welcome
prospective cadets any parade evening. There are no specific joining
dates and so you may simply come along to the Squadron any
Monday or Wednesday between 7.00pm and 9.30pm with your parents to
see what you think. Your parents don't have to stay the
entire evening but we do need to meet them. It does help
us, however, to know in advance whether to expect visitors so better
to drop us a note via our email just so say you are planning to
attend.
As A
Member of Staff
There are a
number of Uniformed and Non-uniformed roles for adults within the
Air Cadet Organisation. As an adult you can join the ATC as a
Civilian Instructor and even become a uniformed Officer. You do not
need to be ex-Services to have the skills to make a difference. All
staff are volunteers.
Each Squadron
or Unit is led by Commissioned Officers from the Royal Air Force
Volunteer Reserve (Training Branch). Within the Air Training Corps
they are supported by Adult Warrant Officers and SNCO's with
Civilian Instructors completing the team.
We welcome prospective staff any parade evening.

As A
Member of the Committee
The Civilian
Committee, which each ATC Squadron must have, takes responsibility
for the overall management/direction of the Sqn, fundraising etc.
Many parents and friends get a great deal of enjoyment, satisfaction
and fun from working in this important area.
If you
would like to join the Civilian Committee then please contact us via
email or telephone on a parade evening and we will let you know when
the next Committee meeting is (they run once every two months) and
make arrangements for you to attend. |
